The Erminette Ameraucana is a striking and uncommon variety, known for its crisp white plumage accented with full black feathers, distinct from mottling or spangling. This patterning is often referred to as ermine, and erminettes are considered rare in Canada, with very few established breeding programs working toward consistent expression & correct Ameraucana structure.
Ameraucanas are best known for their blue egg genetics, pea combs, friendly personality, and cold-hardy nature. Erminette coloring adds an additional layer of rarity, making these birds especially appealing to breeders and keepers looking for something truly distinctive.
Birds mature in three related colour expressions: white, black, or erminette (ermine-patterned).
